Important Reminders

Current MCC policy states that children under the age of 14 are NOT allowed in the CIS lab.

No food or drinks are permitted in the CIS lab.

Please turn off or set to vibrate all cell phones and pagers. All calls must be taken out of the lab to a private setting.

If you wish to print items, contact lab personnel. The college does charge for printing. Printers are monitored on a continuous basis.

A copy machine is available for student use in the MCC library. Copies can be obtained on this machine for a charge.

Should you require tutoring, please contact Teresa Snyder at the Student Success Center, in the Administration Building. You may reach Teresa at 989-328-0011 or by email at teresa.snyder@montcalm.edu. This is a free service to all current MCC students.

CIS Competency Testing Information

Competency testing for CIS courses is administered on the main campus in the CIS Lab/Testing Center.  CIS competency testing is not available at off-campus sites. An appointment to take a test is not necessary, but you will need to allow adequate time for testing during the lab's hours of operation. Students are required to present picture identification (i.e., MCC student ID, a current driver's license or state ID card) before a test will be administered.

To view a complete listing of courses and competency testing instructions, click on this link CIS Competency Testing Information. Competency testing requirements for courses are subject to change at any time.
