    Description

    Students will gain an understanding of how the human body functions through the study of each organ system as well as a perspective of how homeostasis is maintained through the interaction of the organ systems. Current topics in health sciences, nutrition, biology and medicine will be discussed as they pertain to specific organ systems and diseases. Laboratory exercises include dissection and physiological experiments pertinent to the topics covered. Current common medical techniques and terminology will be discussed as part of each lab. Students will also have the opportunity to view and/or use the virtual cadaver.
